51 seleccionados en draft suplementario

NUEVA YORK (Martes, 18 de enero, 2011) – Hoy los 18 clubes de la Major League Soccer seleccionaron un total de 51 jugadores por medio del Draft Suplementario de tres rondas. Los equipos tienen permitido empezar campamentos de pre-temporada este jueves, 20 de enero, en anticipación a la temporada regular 2011 de la MLS que arranca el 15 de marzo.
Todos los jugadores elegibles quienes no fueron escogidos en el SuperDraft la semana pasada, y jugadores adicionales nominados por clubes de la MLS, fueron puestos a disposición de los 18 equipos para selección en el Draft Suplementario.
Los jugadores seleccionados durante el SuperDraft y el Draft Suplementario serán evaluados durante campamentos de pre-temporada, luchando así por un lugar en la nómina de los clubes de la MLS. Aunque los equipos de la MLS no tienen restricciones en cuanto al número de jugadores que asisten a los campamentos, cada club deberá tener una nómina y un salario en norma para el primero de marzo. Los clubes pueden empezar sus pre-temporadas este jueves, 20 de enero.
La MLS arrancara su decimosexta temporada el martes, 15 de marzo, cuando los Seattle Sounders FC reciban a LA Galaxy en vivo por ESPN Deportes, ESPN Deportes Radio, ESPN y ESPN3.com a las 9:30 p.m. ET. MLS First Kick 2011 es presentado por Dick’s Sporting Goods.
