The saga of the Obama Cup will add another interesting chapter by the end of today. This event first fell onto the Dallas soccer landscape Monday morning. The Mexican football federation released the roster of U20 players for a tournament this coming weekend (2/26-2/27). Most of the stories about the tournament were coming from Nigeria. Due to the President's day holiday Monday, we finally spoke to someone from the Cotton Bowl facility that confirms there was tournament scheduled. Issue with Ticketmaster was hopefully to be resolved by late last night. As of this morning, it is still not on the system. Texas Futgol reached event organizer, Pius Oleh, that a final decision on the status of the tournament will be made by this afternoon. If the ticket issue can not be resolved, the tournament will be tentatively postponed for 2 week.
