FIFA World Cup 6 person inspection team arrives in New York

It's the United State turn. The 6 man delegation form the FIFA World Cup inspection team will arrive Labor Day in New York City to start their 5 city 3 day whirlwind tour. It will be last official opportunity for the US Soccer Federation to present their case until the December 2 official announcement of the next two host countries for the 2018/2022 World Cup. The USSF have compiled an impressive array of corporate CEO's, celebrities and politicians for the USA bid campaign. The pundits and odds-makers believes a European country will win the 2018 bid and the US is the favorite for the 2022 site. The critics and naysayers have their doubts in this process and impact but with that said, some believe the intangibles of hosting a World Cup or an Olympic is worth the bottom line numbers. A lot can happen in 8 or 12 years but at the this point, US Soccer President Sunil Gulati has positioned Dallas as the possible site for the opening game at the 100,000 seat Cowboy Stadium. The opening game usually guarantees the host country as one opponent. And like the 1994 World Cup in the US, Dallas will campaign for the designated World Cup Media Center. If the US is able to win the bid, it is safe to say Dallas will be a big part of the World Cup experience. Here's a recap of the FIFA tour so far:
