FRISCO, Texas (Oct. 20, 2010) – One of the hottest teams in Major League Soccer, FC Dallas is inviting the DFW Metroplex to join the playoff party with a pep rally at Mockingbird Station from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26. The entire FC Dallas team and the FC Dallas dancers will be on the patio outside Trinity Hall and Deux Lounge enjoying live music, food and drinks with fans. Deux Lounge will be offering half price well drinks, domestic beers and house wine during the event.
Head coach Schellas Hyndman and team captain Daniel Hernandez will address the crowd as the team readies for its first-round playoff game later that week. This weekend is a pivotal one for FC Dallas, as their first-round playoff opponent hinges on the outcome of several MLS games scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. FC Dallas will play either the star-studded Los Angeles Galaxy or defending MLS Cup Champions Real Salt Lake in a home-and-away series. FC Dallas will host the first leg of the series presented by Cash America on either Thursday, Oct. 28 or Saturday, Oct. 30. FC Dallas has only lost three matches all season, one fewer than Real Salt Lake. An FC Dallas win or tie in Los Angeles this weekend would give the team the all-time MLS record for fewest losses in a season. FC Dallas has already tied the all-time MLS record for an unbeaten streak (19-games) and shattered the all-time MLS record for a road unbeaten streak (12-games) this season.
