FC Dallas Signs colombian Milton Rodriguez

FRISCO, Texas (May 13, 2010) –Colombian striker Milton Rodriguez will join FC Dallas July 15 when the summer transfer window opens, pending receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC), the team announced today. Per team and league policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Milton is a very good striker who has a deep and rich resume,” said FC Dallas head coach Schellas Hyndman. “He is a goal scorer who has the ability to create goals for his teammates as well as hold the ball in the attacking third. He will be a very good addition to FC Dallas.”
Rodriguez, 34, is currently the leading scorer for Real Cartagena (8-5-4) where he has scored a league-best six goals and tallied one assist in 15 games, bringing his career total to 137 goals.
The left-footed striker spent the bulk of his professional career with Deportivo Cali, appearing in 98 games and tallying 38 goals.
Most recently, Rodriguez has played for clubs Millonarios, Deportes Tolima and Real Cartagena. He has three caps with the Colombian national team.
